Modern Slavery Statement
Dulwich Movers Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Dulwich Movers to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. Dulwich Movers is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and ensuring that everyone who works for or with us is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Dulwich Movers has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This applies to our own business, our employees, contractors, agency workers, and all third parties with whom we have a business relationship. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in, or fails to take proactive steps to prevent, modern slavery or human trafficking.
All managers and supervisors are responsible for promoting this policy within their teams and ensuring that any concerns are taken seriously and escalated appropriately. Breaches of this policy may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract, and may also result in reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Dulwich Movers provides removal, relocation, and associated services. Our supply chain includes transport providers, packing material suppliers, storage service providers, subcontracted labour, facilities management, and other professional and support services. We recognise that some parts of the logistics and labour supply sectors can be vulnerable to exploitation, and we are committed to identifying and reducing these risks.
We expect all suppliers and business partners to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery, to comply with applicable laws, and to uphold internationally recognised human rights standards.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We conduct due diligence on new suppliers and contractors before entering into any agreement. This may include requests for information on labour practices, recruitment processes, use of subcontractors, and compliance with modern slavery and human trafficking legislation.
Dulwich Movers is progressively implementing a programme of risk-based supplier audits. Higher-risk suppliers may be asked to provide additional documentation and may be subject to site visits or verification checks. Where shortcomings are identified, we will work with the supplier to agree on corrective actions and timelines. If a supplier is unable or unwilling to meet our standards, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Dulwich Movers encourages all employees, contractors, and suppliers to report any concerns about modern slavery, human trafficking, or unethical labour practices. Concerns can be raised with a line manager, a senior manager, or another trusted point of contact within the business. Reports may be made confidentially, and we will aim to protect the identity of individuals who raise concerns in good faith.
We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who reports a concern or participates in an investigation. All reports will be taken seriously, investigated appropriately, and, where necessary, escalated to external authorities. Records of concerns raised and the outcomes of investigations will be maintained to support transparency and continuous improvement.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our workforce. Relevant employees, especially those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management, receive guidance on how to identify signs of exploitation and how to respond to concerns. We encourage our teams to remain vigilant and to challenge any suspicious or unethical practices they encounter.
Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement
Dulwich Movers recognises that the fight against modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We regularly monitor the effectiveness of the measures described in this statement and seek opportunities to strengthen our controls as regulations, best practices, and our business evolve.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by the leadership of Dulwich Movers. The review considers any incidents reported, the results of supplier audits, feedback from stakeholders, and changes in the risk landscape. Where necessary, we update our policies, procedures, and training to ensure they remain robust and effective.
This statement has been approved on behalf of Dulwich Movers and reflects our enduring commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chain.
